Melissa Harris-Perry marked a major milestone on Sunday: the one-year anniversary of her show.

Harris-Perry received her own program on MSNBC in February 2012, after serving as a frequent contributor to the network and a substitute host for Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O'Donnell. On Sunday, she reflected on a year of shows and guests with a look inside the black book on her table every week.

Harris-Perry said that it contains messages written by her guests to her daughter Parker over the past year, and read notes from Al Sharpton, Ezra Klein, Alex Wagner, Chris Hayes and Nancy Pelosi.

"It's been quite a year and I cant wait to see what the next year will bring," Harris-Perris told viewers. "Thanks for joining us at our table when you agree and when you don't. Thanks for contributing to our discussions online, thanks for telling us about foot soldiers in your community and thanks for sharing this wild, wonderful journey that we are all on together — and look, there's a blank page in the book for you, Beyonce."
