Marco Rubio Water Bottle Sales Make $125,000 For Political Action Committee

Marco Rubio MakesOff Water Bottles?

Sen. Marco Rubio's (R-Fla.) political action committee took an awkward incident and turned it into a money-making venture with signature "Rubio" water bottles, which have brought in $125,000 since Wednesday.

Rubio's PAC, Reclaim America, debuted the water bottles after the senator's awkward lunge for a Poland Spring bottle during his State of the Union rebuttal.

“So far we’ve sold over 4,200 water bottles in the last five days, bringing in over $125,000,” a spokesperson for the PAC said, according to NBC Miami.

Donors can contribute a minimum of $25 to Reclaim America, with donation options reaching $250 for the red and white "Rubio" bottle.

Rubio's sip was seen around the world, going viral online Tuesday night and inspiring a skit on Saturday Night Live. His PAC is now capitalizing off his newfound Internet fame and brushing the media attention off with a laugh.

"Send the liberal detractors a message that not only does Marco Rubio inspire you…he hydrates you too," the PAC's website says.
