At a press conference held at Buzzfeed on Tuesday, Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced the start of "Made in NY," a new initiative aimed at supporting the New York City's burgeoning tech community.
While the city's tech scene has flourished through previous programs, the mayor noted New York City has much work to do before it can become a serious rival to Silicon Valley.
Chief Digital Officer Rachel Haot sat down with HuffPost Live to discuss how "Made In NY" will help local tech startups.
