Good news for Pearl Jam -- the rock band's 1991 album "Ten" has sold 10 million copies.
"Ten" reached the 10 million mark this week, Billboard reports. It is now the 22nd album to sell more than 10 million copies since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking sales in 1991.
Nielsen records the highest-selling album since 1991 as Metallica's "Metallica" with 15.86 million copies sold.
Earlier this month, Pearl Jam sold out tickets for a July show in Chicago in record time, nabbing the title of the quickest concert sell-out in Wrigley Field's history.
Pearl Jam is currently working on a tenth studio album. “I don’t think there’s any doubt we’re going to make a record, but when that’s going to be, and when everybody is ready to do it, well that’s another story," Pearl Jam's bassist, Jeff Ament, said. "There’s no pressure. So if at any point the guys called up and said, ‘Hey, we’re ready to do this,’ I’d have no problem dropping everything because that’s my first love. I’m going to do whatever works for everyone else.” The band has reportedly recorded "seven or eight songs" for the upcoming album.
Pearl Jam's last album, "Backspacer," was released in 2009.
