Tillman Clifton Allegedly Molests Young Girl, Says He Would Only Touch Older Child

A man from Whitewater, Colo. called 911 to say his wife was accusing him of child molestation -- and deputies booked him for just that.

Tillman Clifton, 38, was arrested and charged with sexual assault on a child, according to the Daily Sentinel.

Clifton called 911 after his wife allegedly caught him masturbating next to a sleeping underage girl, the Denver Channel reported. His relationship to the girl is unclear.

Clifton's wife told deputies that she found her husband on the floor near a couch where the child was sleeping, with his hand under a blanket and a towel and lotion on a nearby table, according to a Mesa County Sheriff's Office report. Police say Clifton claims she was merely "jumping to conclusions."

He also stated that if he were going to touch a child, it would be an older one, according to the report.

But investigators say the girl told them Clifton jumped on her when she awoke and put her into multiple positions while rubbing lotion on her and saying how much he loved her.

According to the Sheriff's Office jail registry, Clifton remains in jail with no bond set.
