The new religious sect called Fellowship of the Martyrs (FOTM) consists of individuals from all walks of life, some of whom have histories of mental illness. In one highly publicized case, FOTM member Greg Weiler, who had a history of mental illness, was charged with allegedly having detailed plans to bomb churches. Says Lisa, "Was there a link -- as the Weiler family suggests -- between Greg's time at FOTM and his plan to blow up Christian congregations?
In this clip from "Our America with Lisa Ling," Lisa questions FOTM leader Doug Perry about the effect the violent language in his sermons may be having on his potentially unstable followers.
"We have spent the last couple of days with Doug and I've really found much of what he's doing very noble," says Lisa. "But yet, he also makes these videos that are extremely inflammatory. Some of the people he helps to house are mentally unstable, and one has to wonder whether this kind of language might propel them to do things that are really destructive and that could potentially be extremely dangerous."

Clarification: Language has been amended in this piece to emphasize that adherents to the sect who have a history of mental illness are not in the majority.
Correction: An earlier version of this post misspelled Greg Weiler's last name.
