Kobe Bryant Jerry Buss Tribute: Lakers Star Honors Late Owner Before Celtics Game (VIDEO)

Before the Los Angeles Lakers took on the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night, the team honored late franchise owner Jerry Buss, who passed away on Monday.

After a tribute video was played for the crowd, Kobe Bryant delivered a moving speech.

"On Monday, we lost we all know to be the greatest owner in sports. Ever. He was a brilliant incredible owner. He was even a better person with a great heart. His vision has transcended the game and we are all, all spoiled by his vision and by his drive to win year after year after year," Bryant said. "And through our years being here at the Staples Center, the one thing we could always count on, was the great Dr. Jerry Buss over looking this franchise from his box. I'd like to ask all of you to please join us in a moment of silence to honor the great Dr. Jerry Buss."
