Former Republican senatorial candidate Linda McMahon joined HuffPost Live Friday to discuss her recent blog post about training young women for the workforce and spoke about the $100 million she spent trying to get elected from the state of Connecticut.
"I thoroughly enjoyed campaigning, because I got to meet the people all across Connecticut and hear what their issues were," McMahon told HuffPost Live host Abby Huntsman.
The founder and former CEO of WWE wouldn't say she regretted pouring $100 million into her unsuccessful campaigns, but said that her time spent touring businesses gave her insight into the issues facing business-owners including taxes, health care costs and costs of labor.
As for her own campaign's finances, McMahon dismissed claims from some former campaign staff that their checks had bounced and they hadn't been properly paid for their work.
"We had a couple of instances where things were put through that just fell through the cracks, but all that was cleared up," she said. "It was just a question of timing and, quite frankly, some folks say they didn't get a check. They did! We had some of those issues, but they were very, very small."
