You spend money you don't have on awesome toys, but children only want to play with the boxes they come in. There may be no joy in an amusement park excursion, but your toddler is endlessly amused by the (seriously germy) bike rack on a city sidewalk. Yet, as many times as kids remind us that the most mundane things entertain them, some moments are still surprising. For example, this week, Carly Kimmel's son found fun during a part of preschool no parent wants to participate in: "'Is this a party?! Is it my BIRTHday?!' - My son during the parent/student lice inspection at preschool today. Talk about an optimist...," she tweeted.
Along with Kimmel's anecdote (that admittedly made our heads itch), our favorite tweets from parents this week ranged from hilarious to profound. Click through the slideshow below for this week's funniest quips, and don't forget to follow @HuffPostParents on Twitter!
