'Les Miserables' Oscars Performance: Cast Of The Musical Hits The Academy Awards

'Les Miserables' Hits The Oscars

The cast of "Les Miserables" hit the Oscars stage on Sunday night to celebrate the Best Picture nominee.

Anne Hathaway, Huge Jackman, Eddie Redmayne, Amanda Seyfried, Samantha Barks, Helena Bonham Carter, Aaron Tveit, and Russell Crowe performed "One Day More" and the Oscar-nominated "Suddenly" from "Les Miserables" in a celebration of the musicals of the last decade. The group was joined by Jennifer Hudson and Catherine Zeta-Jones to highlight "Dreamgirls" and "Chicago."

The musicals number wasn't the only performance of the night, however. The awards show also included performances from Barbra Streisand, Adele, and Norah Jones. It was announced just days before the Oscars that Kristen Chenoweth and Seth MacFarlance would close the show with a musical performance.

"Les Miserables" was nominated for a total of eight awards: Best Picture, Best Actor for Hugh Jackman, Best Supporting Actress for Anne Hathaway, Best Original Song for "Suddenly," Best Sound Mixing, Best Production Design, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, and Best Costume Design.

The 85th annual Academy Awards were hosted by MacFarlane at Hollywood's Dolby Theatre.
