Academy Awards Winners 2013: 'Argo,' 'Lincoln' And 'Life Of Pi' Called To The Podium

Academy Awards Winners!

The Oscars took place in Los Angeles on Sunday night, the 85th Annual installment of the Academy Awards. Winners included "Argo," Daniel Day-Lewis and Jennifer Lawrence.

Seth MacFarlane hosted the awards. Pre-show favorites included Ben Affleck's "Argo," Anne Hathaway ("Les Miserables") and Daniel Day-Lewis ("Lincoln").

This year's Best Picture nominees were remarkably controversial. "Zero Dark Thirty," "Argo" and "Lincoln" all drew the ire of lawmakers and officials who disputed their accuracy and intentions. "Zero Dark Thirty" was knocked for allegedly overplaying the role of torture in the hunt for Osama bin Laden. "Argo" angered select Iranian-Americans who claimed the film offered an oversimplified view of a complicated moment in history and "Lincoln" actually flubbed the votes of Connecticut's fictionalized congressmen on the 13th Amendment.

Note: A full list of winners will be added to this post at the conclusion of the awards. In the interim, the live blog below includes the lucky movies and filmmakers awarded Oscars.

The broadcast included a tribute to James Bond, a "Chicago" reunion, a "Les Miserables" performance and featured Adele and Barbra Streisand as well.
