CBS Ratings: Network Wins February Sweeps In 18-49 Demographic

It's A Sweeps Victory For CBS

CBS' ratings earned the network the top spot in February sweeps in the 18-49 demographic for the first time since 1998.

The network, already No. 1 in total viewers, was propelled to victory by the Super Bowl, the Grammys and scripted power players "The Big Bang Theory" and "NCIS." The last time CBS won the 18-49 demographic during February sweeps was 15 years ago when the network aired the Winter Olympics. CBS currently beats ABC, the No. 2 network in total viewers, by nearly 8 million viewers.

CBS also boasts eight of the Top 10 broadcasts for the month in both adults 18-49 and in total viewers. Among total viewers, the network had the Top 31 scripted broadcasts. "The Big Bang Theory," now in its sixth season, has climbed to the top of the scripted broadcast demo. In the 18-49 demographic, all four episodes of "The Big Bang Theory," three episodes of "Two and a Half Men" and an episode of "How I Met Your Mother" have ranked in the Top 10.

NBC won November sweeps, but has since fallen to new lows, being outpaced by Univision in the 18-49 demographic, falling to fifth place. As of February 21, Univision ranked as the No. 4 network among adults 18-34 and adults 18-49, outperforming NBC by 43 percent and 22 percent, respectively. Univision had a 1.5 rating to NBC's 1.2 rating.
