Colbert Slams Secretive Gitmo Trial For Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (VIDEO)

On Wednesday's "Colbert Report," Stephen discussed a trial that hasn't been getting a lot of media attention: That of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the 9/11 mastermind. But instead of a normal trial, Mohammed is being tried in a one-of-a-kind military tribunal at Guantanamo Bay.

Here's the catch: Soundproof glass and a forty second delay separates the trial from journalists, and a mute button is at the judge and security's disposal. And recently, the mute button was activated -- without the knowledge of anyone in the courtroom.

Watch the clip above to see Stephen react to the unprecedented trial.
