Rick Scott To Obama: If Your Administration Fails, Thousands Will Lose Their Jobs

Rick Scott Sends Angry Message To Obama Over Potential Fail

Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R) sent an angry letter to President Barack Obama Wednesday, emphasizing the importance of the administration's role "in averting the fiscal crisis that will result from Sequestration's forced budget cuts."

"If your administration fails to do its job to responsibly manage the budget, thousands of Floridians will lose their jobs under sequestration," Scott wrote (emphasis his).

Scott's criticism of Obama follows pressure from other Republicans, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and others.

Obama has kept pressure on Republicans as well, saying lawmakers have "the opportunity to make the right decisions." On Feb. 24, the White House upped pressure on the GOP by releasing reports outlining the ugly effects the sequester would have in individual states.

Obama plans to meet with top congressional leaders Friday to discuss the spending cuts.
