Magic Johnson Offers LeBron James $1 Million To Enter Dunk Contest (VIDEO)

Magic Makes Offer To LeBron

Magic Johnson wants LeBron James in the Slam Dunk Contest, and he's willing to pay for it.

"I'm going to put up a million dollars. A million dollars from Magic to LeBron," Johnson said on Friday night on ESPN's Kia NBA Countdown. "Please get in the dunk contest. I go every year. I want to see you out there. A million to the winner."

With a series of soaring, acrobatic pre-game dunks since the All-Star break, the three-time MVP has given fans -- and Magic -- a glimpse of what they've been missing as he's avoided the Dunk Contest. The warm-up jams understandably led to calls for James to finally enter the Dunk Contest, causing him to threaten nixing the warmup routine altogether.

Thankfully, he seems to have opted not to do that.

"I don't do it for anyone besides our team," James told reporters after practice on Thursday, via USA Today. "We came up with something that said, let's get warmed up even more."

Will the Lakers legend's offer sway James, the fourth-highest paid athlete in the world?
