Golden Gate Park Owl Chicks Bask In The Sun (PHOTOS)

Want a fix of cute animal photos? We've got you covered. Look no further than Golden Gate Park.

The park is now home to two new Great Horned Owl chicks, who recently came out to enjoy the sun. David Cruz of Nature's Lantern, whose images originally appeared in SF Appeal, captured the adorable scene.

Great Horned Owls are generally nocturnal, so a daytime sighting is a rarity. Though the chicks are currently tiny, the owls will grow to have a wing span of 3.3 to 4.8 feet.

Golden Gate Park is home to a wide array of wild life including birds, coyotes and even bison.
