Scary Spice Melanie Brown, otherwise known as Mel B, didn't have such a smooth run during her first "America's Got Talent" appearance.

Mel B was reportedly booed at the first taping of "America's Got Talent" on Monday in New Orleans after she criticized a brass band, according to TMZ.

The first act of the day was Lagniappe, an internationally known Big Easy band, and Mel B decided to let them know that she isn't a fan of brass music. That didn't sit well with New Orleans locals in the crowd who allegedly started to boo Mel B, yelling "Go home" and "No respect," TMZ reports.

The band was excited about getting in front of the judges. "Tomorrow we audition for America's Got Talent in front of the celebrity judge panel - cross your fingers!!" they posted to Facebook on Sunday.

Hopefully Mel B didn't let them down too much.

This isn't the first time the Spice Girl has been booed, either. When judging the "X Factor U.K." in June, Mel B was booed after she insulted in 81-year-old contestant by saying his performance made her want to "fall asleep," MTV News U.K. previously reported.

It was announced last month that the 37-year-old Brit would be replacing Sharon Osbourne on the judges panel. She has some reality contest experience under her belt, having been a contestant on "Dancing with the Stars" and a judge on international versions of "The X Factor."

Mel B joined Howie Mandel and Howard Stern alongside new judge Heidi Klum at Monday's taping.

Klum signed onto "America's Got Talent" as the fourth judge during the eleventh hour, the Washington Post reported. Judging is nothing new for her. The ex-wife of R&B star Seal and former Victoria's Secret supermodel has been a host and judge on "Project Runway" since it premiered in 2004.
