Jon Stewart's Movie And TV Roles: A Look Back (VIDEO)

Posted: Updated:

Jon Stewart occasionally mentions his acting career on "The Daily Show," always with a hefty dose of self-deprecation. But now that he's committed to writing and directing a serious feature about hostages in Iran -- so serious, in fact, that he's taking an entire summer off his nightly talk show to direct the movie -- we think it's time we took a look back at the entire breadth of his career.

And if he thinks that means we will forget about his roles in classics movies like "The Faculty," "Death to Smoochy" and "Big Daddy," not to mention TV spots in "Spin City," "The Nanny" and "Dr. Katz," he's dead wrong. Give your acting a little credit, Jon! Not all the movies are winners, but plenty of actors would kill to have your career. Plus, you were in "Half Baked." And no one can take that away from you.

Check out our supercut of his movie roles. You may be surprised.
