The Tuesday wing special got especially wild at a Buffalo Wild Wings, when a man who skipped out on his $16 tab led cops on a police chase.

Workers at the chain restaurant in Ferndale, Mich. called local cops around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday to report that a customer had walked out without paying a $16 bill. The BW3 employee was able to give police a description of the man and his car.

Shortly afterwards, a Ferndale police officer spotted Marlon Cortez Stanfield, 35, behind the wheel of his car and engaged him in conversation. According to a statement released by Public Information Officer William Wilson, the officer gave Stanfield the chance to return to the restaurant.

Rather than pay his bill, however, police say Stanfield allegedly turned into traffic, forcing the officer to move or be struck by the vehicle, shouted an obscenity and took off.

Ferndale Police chased the suspect at a high rate of speed through the residential neighborhood near 7 Mile and Livernois in Detroit before stopping the chase. However, knowing the identity of the suspect, they drove to his house. The suspect returned home shortly and was arrested.

Police charged Stanfield with fleeing and eluding and failure to pay a restaurant bill. He has a criminal past that includes theft and Criminal Sexual Conduct.

Stanfield will likely be arraigned Wednesday afternoon.

If convicted, Stanfield won't be the only diner who dashed into a criminal conviction -- or worse. Last March, a New Mexico man who left without paying his bill was arrested on the scene -- apparently he didn't notice the restaurant was hosting a police fundraiser. Leaving a bill unpaid can also be hazardous to your health. This New Hampshire man was impaled by a fence after skipping out on a bar tab. In the U.K, a serial dine & dasher named Christopher Travis was banned from the nation's restaurants after his 86th "meal on the house."
