Marriage Proposal Fails: Couple Washed Away By Huge Ocean Wave (VIDEO)

Marriage proposals at the beach can be beautiful, photogenic, and quite memorable -- especially if a giant ocean wave decides to interrupt your romantic moment.

That's exactly what happened to one couple who, thanks to an unexpected splash of water, now have a pretty funny story to tell their future children. In a video posted to Reddit Tuesday (the proposal was in November 2012), a man gets down on one knee to pop the question to his girlfriend, just as a huge wave knocks them down and sends them floating back to the beach. Watch the video above to see the entire incident.

In the video's description on YouTube, the bride-to-be explains that her boyfriend sang her a song while they stood on a rock in Laguna Beach, Calif., and started to propose before they were washed away. But she jumped back up and said "yes/"
