Mitch McConnell's Team Makes Harlem Shake Video

From Kentucky to ... Harlem? Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has already started his 2014 reelection bid, and his campaign looks to be trying to gain popularity by latching onto the popular Harlem Shake internet video sensation.

McConnell’s YouTube channel uploaded a version of the Harlem Shake series Wednesday morning. A lone figure holding a cardboard cut-out of McConnell's face appears at the beginning of the video, which was shot outside Churchill Downs, the site of the Kentucky Derby. Other participants appear on screen when the beat drops about halfway through. According to CNN, the dancers in the video are local college students.

Harlem Shake videos have surfaced in the early part of 2013 with participants ranging from the NBA's Miami Heat to "The Simpsons" to anyone with a webcam.

Even Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) has suggested that he might get in on the Harlem Shake craze:
