On Sunday, March 10, "Revenge" returns with "Retribution" and Emily is on the warpath.
"Everything gets nice and dark ... more so than ever before," Barry Sloane, who plays Aiden, teased to ETonline about what's to come on "Revenge." "That sets us up perfectly for Emily's [Emily VanCamp] refreshed drive for revenge. She's made mistakes, but now that she's lost Amanda [Margarita Levieva], Emily is laser focused in taking down the Grayson Family."
In the first six minutes of "Retribution" (available above) -- "Revenge's" return episode since the February 17 installment saw Amanda and Nate Ryan (Michael Trucco) both meet their death after an at-sea showdown when she and Jack set sail on their honeymoon -- viewers will see Amanda and Emily's final moments and just how determined Emily is as a result.
"Terrible things are happening to the people we care about," Nolan (Gabriel Mann) tells her in the opening scene of "Retribution," which was directed by Helen Hunt. "I know that's not what you wanted when you started."
"I didn't start this, Nolan -- they did. And if you don't understand that yet then I don't need you by my side," Emily retorts. "I think you know by now. I'm not going anywhere."
"I think she's definitely a lot more calculated than she was in the first season," Josh Bowman, who plays Daniel, told Wetpaint of Emily. "She's a lot more ruthless than she was in the first season. Any love that she had for Daniel in the first season, or possible love that she had with Daniel, is, for sure, just vaporized into thin air. She's just hell bent on revenge now and needs to use me as an access key to carry out her mission."
As for Jack, who viewers will see is now in the hospital and about to find out his wife is dead, Nick Wechsler, who plays Jack, told TVLine: “Just as you would imagine, he’s heartbroken. The thing that is driving Emily’s revenge is her broken heart; she was robbed of her father, of her childhood, of her innocence. Jack was naïve and innocent for so long and then they took his wife. Now he’s got that heartbreak driving his revenge engine as well.”
