When "The Nate Berkus Show” was canceled after its second season, we were afraid we’d never see the handsome interior designer on the tube again.

But we just learned some very exciting news. Today, the Hollywood Reporter wrote that Nate Berkus will be the host and executive producer of a new show on NBC called 'Renovation Nation.' The 10-episode series travels around the country, featuring two teams of designers and builders competing against each other on design challenges for cash prizes and luxury housewares. Then, America will be invited to weigh in and vote during a live finale, and choose which finalists will win the ultimate prize, a dream home.

Berkus confirmed his involvement earlier on his Facebook page when he wrote, "So exciting! Teaming up with @NBC on a HUGE competition design show -- Renovation Nation! Can you out-design the competition?" And TV By The Numbers published a press release from NBC that quoted Berkus, "I'm beyond excited about the fresh approach we're taking with this show. The challenges we have created are so visual, layered and unique - that even I have to admit I'm jealous I'm not competing."

We had heard rumblings last month when the New York Post suggested that Berkus was working on a show called "Home Transformers," but this new concept sounds even better, and we cannot wait to catch it when it airs.
