Jenna-Louise Coleman Signs For 'Doctor Who' Season 8 And More Casting News

She's Sticking With 'Who'

Jenna-Louise Coleman isn't bolting the TARDIS anytime soon. The actress has signed on for Season 8 of "Doctor Who."

Coleman, who first appeared in the Season 7 premiere and later remerged in the "Doctor Who" Christmas special, plays Clara, the Doctor's latest companion, replacing Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill. While doing an interview on BBC Five radio, Coleman was hesitant to confirm how long she's staying with the series, but said, "Yeah, I can say I'll be in Season 8."

"Doctor Who" star Matt Smith is heading to the US to film a new movie, meaning there will be a bit more of a gap between "Doctor Who" Season 7 (which returns on Saturday, March 30 at 8 p.m. ET on BBC America) and Season 8.
