Mindy Kaling's New Book Hasn't Been Written Yet, But We're Already Excited For It

We're Already Excited For Mindy Kaling's New Book

Mindy Kaling, the star and creator of the sitcom "The Mindy Project" and one of our major friend-crushes, announced on Friday that she's not only working on her TV show's second season, but she's about to start writing a new book. It doesn't even have a title yet, but we're already eagerly anticipating its release.

Kaling, who is best known for her roles on "The Office" and "The Mindy Project," wrote a book in 2011. "Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns)" is a collection of first-person essays about her childhood years and her experiences breaking into the entertainment industry. Her second book will focus on "the high highs and low lows of the past 18 months," and will hopefully be released in the next year and a half, reported Deadline.

Until then, we're excited to see Kaling reprise her role as Kelly Kapoor on the series finale of "The Office" this spring. "I’ve just read the pages, and it’s a really amazing episode of television," she said during "The Mindy Project" panel at PaleyFest on March 8th. We're sure that Kaling makes it all the better. What scene isn't improved by an actress who can transform herself into Marge Simpson and has said that she can't relate to a character "unless they're like embarrassing themselves"?
