In last Sunday's "Vikings," Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) and his loyal band of raiders finally reached the shores of England, proceeding to slaughter almost an entire settlement full of monks at Lindesfarne -- but not Athelstan (George Blagden), whom Ragnar saved seemingly out of curiosity. In Episode 3, Ragnar will bring the monk home to meet his wife Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) and children, appearing content to use him as a slave.
But with his sights set on greater riches and further raids, Athelstan has knowledge that Ragnar finds valuable, especially about England's Christian customs and beliefs. In return, as you'll see in HuffPost TV's exclusive clip above, Ragnar and Lagertha believe they have knowledge of their own to teach the monk -- some of which will test Athelstan's piety.
"Vikings" airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on History.
