When we first met chef Roblé Ali, just days before the debut of his Bravo TV series, "Chef Roble & Co.," the then-26-year-old balked at the mere thought of being labeled a "hip-hop" chef.
But the budding culinary master is singing a different tune these days -- literally.
According to a press release, Roblé and Co. -- a group that includes fellow chef Ché Gravy and dedicated eater, Jason “J. Brew” Brewster -- are getting out of the kitchen and into the music studio under a new moniker: The Food Tang Clan.
Check out a short introduction to the Clan in the video above as they parody their favorite rap songs, spitting beats about food, their love for cooking and eating it, of course.
