'Doctor Who,' Caroline Skinner Part Ways

"Doctor Who" is parting ways with executive producer Caroline Skinner. According to BBC, Skinner is departing the series to join BBC Drama Production in London.

"It has been an honour to have been a part of 'Doctor Who,' and a privilege to have worked with Steven Moffat and Matt Smith on this extraordinary show," Skinner told BBC.

Faith Penhale, head of drama at BBC Wales, will serve as executive producer on the special 50th anniversary episode of "Doctor Who" alongside series showrunner, writer and executive producer Steven Moffat.

Skinner's other credits include "Bleak House," "House of Saddam" and "Masterpiece."

"Doctor Who" returns with the second half of Season 7 on Saturday, March 30 at 8 p.m. ET on BBC America. Get a sneak peek at the new episodes in the gallery below.
