'My Strange Addiction': Woman Eats Clay Face Mask

On “My Strange Addiction,” 40-year-old Natasha shared her addiction to powdered clay face masks. But it's not the love of putting the clay on her face that Natasha is addicted to. For the past seven years, she's been consuming up to a jar of the clay every day. That's more than 1,000 pounds of clay mask.

She admitted that more recently she's even begun substituting the clay for meals. "It tastes wonderful, like wet rocks. And it always comforts me," she said.

It's become a part of her daily routine, and Natasha even mixes up how she uses the clay. She dips chips in it and relaxes every night with clay mask and a beer, according to the show's narration. She recently took her story to "Anderson Live," where Anderson Cooper and his team decided she had the strangest addiction they've ever heard of.

There are risks -- as expected -- to ingesting clay masks. They often include aluminum and titanium, which can lead to kidney and nervous system damage. A doctor gave Natasha a clean bill of health, though, despite the volume of clay she's consumed. Monsters and Critics said they can't imagine how Natasha's body -- processes the clay.

She has reduced her clay mask intake as a result of what she learned on the show. Natasha is now down to one jar every two weeks.
