Scott Sassa, Top Hearst Executive, Resigns After Stripper Exploits Sexting Exchanges

Top Hearst Executive Resigns In Wake Of Major Scandal

Top Hearst executive Scott Sassa resigned earlier this week after a stripper exploited their sexting exchanges, the New York Post exclusively reported on Thursday.

During a trip to Los Angeles, Sassa, the president of Hearst Entertainment & Syndication group, met a stripper and started texting with her. A source told the Post that she would send "sexy pictures," and he would respond "using words you absolutely would not want your bosses to see."

The stripper, with the help of a boyfriend, attempted to blackmail Sassa for an undisclosed sum of money. When he didn't comply, she forwarded the sexting exchanges to his bosses. Sassa was reportedly asked to resign on Tuesday.

Sexting scandals have become somewhat common in recent years and have rocked the careers of Tiger Woods, Jesse James, Rep. Anthony Weiner and more.
