These are things that have been built or could be built, but just haven't come to most major cities in the U.S. -- because of bureaucracy, expense or (sigh) simple impracticality. From glow in the dark trees that could replace streetlights to dreamlike underground parks and transformable apartments, here's what we could have with a little urban innovation.
