The 2013 James Beard finalists were announced to much anticipation on Monday.

And the Bay Area cleaned up.

Seriously. The San Francisco Bay Area will go to the awards show with a whopping 16 finalists, including four of the five West Coast best chef spots. From wine programs to service to the coveted outstanding restaurant and chef awards, we've got finalists in all of them. And thanks largely to McSweeney's new(ish) ode to food, Lucky Peach, we even cleaned up in journalism.

Check out a list of the local food and drink finalists in the slideshow below, and stayed tuned for the winners in May.
