David Csanadi SENTENCED: Newtown Man Sexually Abused 3 Girls, Recorded The Acts

Toddler Sex Abuser Will Spend Decades In Prison

A Newtown, Conn., man who recorded himself as he sexually abused three girls -- one of them just 18 months old -- will spend the next two decades in prison.

David Csanadi, 36, was sentenced Tuesday to 20 years in federal prison plus another 15 years of supervised release by United States District Judge Janet Arterton in New Haven.

According to court documents, Csanadi sexually abused three little girls between the ages of 18 months and 4 years old from 2006 to 2007, Patch reports. He videotaped the abuse and kept the tapes at his home in Newtown. He also downloaded videos of child pornography on his computer.

In a search of Csanadi's home, investigators found videos of unidentified, underage girls playing in the water at a Connecticut beach, as well as girls getting off school buses at various Newtown locations, according to the News-Times. In some cases, Csanadi's tapes showed children in the arms of their parents, who had no idea they were being recorded.

Csanadi was arrested on April 15, 2011 and charged with several state child sex exploitation offenses, NBC News reports. He was sentenced Tuesday on one of the charges -- production of child pornography -- and is expected to be sentenced again on additional charges of first-degree sexual assault, illegal sexual contact with a minor and possession of child pornography.
