GPS Guide: Lynn Cluess Manzione's Path To A Peaceful Heart

The stress and strain of constantly being connected can sometimes take your life -- and your well-being -- off course. GPS For The Soul can help you find your way back to balance.

GPS Guides are our way of showing you what has relieved others' stress in the hopes that you will be able to identify solutions that work for you. We all have de-stressing "secret weapons" that we pull out in times of tension or anxiety, whether they be photos that relax us or make us smile, songs that bring us back to our heart, quotes or poems that create a feeling of harmony, or meditative exercises that help us find a sense of silence and calm. We encourage you to look at the GPS Guide below, visit our other GPS Guides here, and share with us your own personal tips for finding peace, balance and tranquility.

In her GPS Guide below, Lynn Cluess Manzione shares the strategies, inspirations and images she uses to find balance and a peaceful heart.

When I am feeling sadness or disappointment, I focus on what I have to be thankful for. When I think about my family, friends and all the wonderful experiences I've had in my life, it's easy to return to a place of gratitude and love.

When I am feeling stressed, disconnected or at loss for an answer, I look to nature. I find that giving myself solitude and permission to go out and seek the beauty that is in nature can calm whatever it is that I am unsettled by. I do this a lot with my camera in hand -- so I can capture it -- but sometimes I will just go sit by a river or lake, or really look at the beauty in trees, and I can't help but feel better.
