Bill Carter, the New York Times reporter who has extensively covered the so-called "Late Night Wars" for the Times and in two books since the early '90s, wrote last week that NBC was building a new studio for Jimmy Fallon with the expectation that Fallon will use it when taking over "The Tonight Show" in 2014.

He stopped by HuffPost Live to unpack the story with host Josh Zepps, as well as HuffPost TV critic Maureen Ryan and comic Myq Kaplan. Check out the clip above to hear the leading expert on the drama speak out on the subject.
