Thanks to Amazon, "Zombieland" lives again. A pilot based on the movie of the same name has been ordered for Amazon Prime Instant Video.

The show, like the movie, will follow four survivors as they attempt to outwit zombies and find a place to make their home. The pilot hails from the movie's original creative team of writers -- Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick -- with Gavin Polone serving as a producer and Eli Craig directing. Kirk Ward will play Tallahassee, the role Woody Harrelson played in the movie. Maiara Walsh takes over Emma Stone's role of Wichita, Tyler Ross is set as Columbus, Jesse Eisenberg's character and Izabela Vidovic takes over for Abigail Breslin as Little Rock.

“'Zombieland' is a fan favorite and we can’t wait to see where this story line goes in a serialized format,” Roy Price, director of Amazon Studios, said in a statement. "We’ve been announcing a lot of exciting exclusive content for Prime Instant Video, like 'Downton Abbey,' 'Under the Dome,' and 'Justified,' and we think adding original shows to that lineup is going to make Prime even more enticing for customers."

All Amazon pilots will be available for viewing for free and viewer feedback will determine which of the 13 pilots get full-season commitments.

“'Zombieland' will strive to break the rules -- action, adventure, thrills, chills and laughs and all packed into a half hour format," creator Paul Wernick said in a statement. “This is not your average show but Amazon is not your average network.”
