(DETROIT) -- The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) wants motorists to be aware that resurfacing work on three miles of M-102 began this week in Detroit and will continue through November.
During construction, two lanes will be open in each direction on M-102 between M-39 (Southfield Freeway) and US-24 (Telegraph Road) during peak travel times. Only one lane will be open in each direction overnight.
Besides resurfacing, the MDOT says there will be reconstructing of median crossovers, upgrading of sidewalks to meet Americans with Disabilities (ADA) requirements, storm sewer repair and traffic signal work.
