The first night of Sweet 16 action concludes with a pair of compelling matchups: Goliath vs. Goliath, David vs. David.

In the East Region, No. 1 Indiana faces off with No. 4 Syracuse in a rematch of the 1987 national championship game. Twenty-six years after Keith Smart gave the Hoosiers the title, Jim Boeheim will look to exact some revenge. Can the Orange zone stifle the offense of Indiana? After withstanding a massive 31-point performance by Khalif Wyatt in the round of 32, can Indiana handle C.J. Fair and James Southerland?

While those powerhouse programs tangle in the nation's capital, a pair of Cinderella teams will play for a spot in the Elite Eight. Coming off an upset over No. 1 Gonzaga in the wild West Region, No. 9 Wichita State will match up against No. 13 La Salle.

The unheralded club from Philadelphia edged No. 12 Ole Miss with a "Southwest Philly Floater" in the final seconds to reach the Sweet 16. Does Tyrone Garland have another shot -- with another name -- in his arsenal if this one comes down to the wire?
