Each of the 10 shakes is named after a different classic TV character: Lucy Ricardo (chocolate with Johnnie Walker Black), A.C. Slater (avocado with Jose Cuervo Tradicional Reposado Tequila) and Frank Costello (chocolate mint with Bushmills Irish Whiskey) are just a few of the honorees.
Last year, we fell in love with the Ritz-Carlton's adults-only snow cones. This year, we're sticking to spiked shakes. Here are four other places around town to cool down with this decadent dessert:
Long before Satellite Room got into the boozy desserts game, <a href="http://tedsbulletin.com/" target="_blank">Ted's Bulletin</a> was serving adult milkshakes on the Hill. Flavors include the Dirty Girl Scout (pepperment schnapps) and Nutty Professor (hazelnut liqueur).
Burger, Tap & Shake
<a href="http://www.burgertapshake.com/burgertap.html" target="_blank">Burger, Tap & Shake</a>'s Shaketails are a great way to wash a burger and fries at this Foggy Bottom eatery. Add some spice to your meal with the Apocalypto (fireball cinnamon whisky, homemade marshmallows, chocolate ice cream).
Bobby's Burger Palace
<a href="http://www.bobbysburgerpalace.com/" target="_blank">Bobby's Burger Palace</a>, with locations in Foggy Bottom and College Park, has a fairly traditional list of standard shakes. For adults, though, flavors of spiked shakes include pineapple coconut rum and vanilla caramel bourbon.
At 24-hour eatery <a href="http://www.dinerdc.com/" target="_blank">The Diner</a>, you can get spiked shakes around the clock. Pictured here is the Apple Bottom: Sailor Jerry rum, a slice of apple pie and vanilla ice cream
