The good news is Latino teens are more likely to use birth control effectively. The bad news? Latinos are about 1.5 times more likely to have multiple children before they turn 20.
As promising statistics continue to show that the birth rate among teens is going down, new data regarding repeat teen births demonstrates that teen pregnancy is still very much an issue in the community.
While this number has decreased slightly over years, according to the Center for Diseases Control and Prevention nearly 1 in 5 births to Latino teens ages 15 to 19 is not their first.
