Detroit Tigers Apparel: Local Indie Shops Offer Street Style Fashions To Show Team Pride (PHOTOS)

LOOK: Show Your Tigers Pride With Style From Local Shops

You can't go wrong repping the Tigers by wearing a classic baseball hat emblazoned with the old English D. It's nearly a necessity for a trip to Comerica Park.

But perhaps you're looking for something a little more stylish, a little more edgy, a little more unique than the typical Tiger fan garb. Something (unlike a navy and orange jacket) that won't look out of place anywhere but the baseball stadium -- and that you won't get tired of during the long baseball season. Enter The Dirt Label, Burn Rubber and Aptemal Clothing.

Royal Oak, Mich. boutique The Dirt Label is opening a pop-up shop in downtown Detroit to celebrate Opening Day. Open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at 531 Monroe St., the shop will carry items from the label's spring line -- as well as some Tigers-inspired gear.

A Dirt Label look was recently seen on Lil Wayne -- unfortunately not a Tigertown design.

Another Royal Oak shopping destination is getting in on the hometown team pride. Sneaker shop Burn Rubber, which recently made an impassioned effort to score a pair of hard-to-find Eminem Air Jordans for the Tigers' Prince Fielder, announced it will release a limited edition New Balance shoe in collaboration with Miguel Cabrera.

In honor of Cabrera's 44 home runs, they're making just 44 pairs of "the Miggy" New Balances, available beginning at the store at noon on April 13 and online at 1 p.m. the same day.

Aptemal Clothing, whose 'Detroit Hustles Harder" shirts can be seen all over town, have a few Tigers offerings as well. Their designs bring a modern twist to a classic team logo. The shop sells online and at their storefront in Eastern Market, Division Street Boutique.

One other route to flawless Tigers style? Scour local thrift shops for an actual vintage look. We're loving this '80s Tigers hat and hoodie found on Ebay.
