On Friday, HuffPost Divorce bloggers M. Gary Neuman and Mary Kelly stopped by the "Today" show to discuss the complexities of blending two families after divorce.

Co-host Hoda Kotb asked a question that is likely on a lot of divorced parents' minds: How long should you wait after the split to introduce the kids to your new love?

"I generally think it should be a year from separation because I think the children need the time to adjust," Neuman said.
