A New Orleans woman was arrested Monday after allegedly killing two puppies by throwing them off of a third-story balcony.
Kisha Carter, 25, has been charged with two counts of cruelty to animals, the Times-Picayune reported. The Louisana Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to animals received a call on Saturday, stating that a guest at the Crystal Inn had thrown two puppies off the balcony.
One of the Inn's guests rushed the animals to a veterinarian, but one of the puppies died en route and the other died while in the care of the vet, according to WDSU.
The SPCA told WWLTV that they identified Carter after speaking with the guest and reviewing surveillance footage from the inn. The group then teamed up the New Orleans Police Department, which arrested Carter.
