Mixed-Breed Dog Photos Showcase The Pets We Love

Posted: Updated:

Mutts have a lot of things going for them. They're a choose-your-own-adventure kind of cute, present an element of mystery and intrigue, plus they're more resistant to genetic disease.

Mixed-breed dogs are also everywhere -- the ASPCA estimates that only 25 percent of dogs that enter animal shelters are purebred. And while breed may be important to some owners and dog shows, there are quite a few organizations out there set on finding loving homes for mutts, like the North Shore Animal League and Mutts Like Me.

If you're in the market for a new pooch, take a look at sites like or the ASPCA Shelter Finder. But for now, show us some mutt love and submit photos of your pets below.
