Stephen Colbert Rips Joe Scarborough: Sometimes I Mistake 'Morning Joe' For News (VIDEO)

Colbert Burns Joe Scarborough

Stephen Colbert continued his war against Joe Scarborough on his Wednesday show.

Colbert recently declared a stand-off between himself and Scarborough after the MSNBC host came out in support of Mark Sanford for Congress. Sanford is running against Colbert's sister Elizabeth Colbert-Busch.

On Wednesday, Colbert did a special edition of "Tip of the Hat/Wag of the Finger" about guns. He joked that "no one" is brave enough to tackle the real issue, and by "no one," he meant Joe Scarborough. Colbert said that Scarborough "hit his head on the nail" when he railed against violent video games.

Scarborough recently argued that President Obama should push for regulations on video games, as well as guns. Colbert responded Thursday, agreeing, “Yes, watching something over and over again can make you forget the difference between fantasy and reality. For instance, sometimes I mistake 'Morning Joe' for a news show."
