Bryan Fischer is no stranger to comparing the gay rights movement to Nazi Germany, but his latest rant might be his most shocking yet.
The American Family Association pundit, whose anti-gay rants have become near-weekly staples of his broadcasts, sounded off on the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community once again on his "Focal Point" radio show this week, suggesting that conservative Christians would one day be forced to wear "some kind of identifying marker" on their sleeves so that "people will know who the 'racists' and the 'homophobes' and the 'bigots' are," Right Wing Watch first reported.
Fischer adds, "Remember when the Jews in Nazi Germany, they had to wear a yellow star of David on their sleeve? We're getting to the point where that's where they're going to make us do."
Fischer's sentiments echo those of Janet Mefferd, who made a similar Holocaust-related comparison in an April 10 Facebook post.
On Facebook, Mefferd wrote that she could see America moving "toward a day when every Christian who supports real marriage might be made to wear a yellow patch on the sleeve, a 'badge of shame; to identify us as 'anti-gay haters.' Kind of like the Jews in Nazi Germany."
Of course, Fischer is no stranger to anti-gay declarations. In recent months, he condemned President Barack Obama's inaugural address, pointing specifically to the historic segments on gay rights.
"All men are created equal, but nobody, nobody, nobody is born gay," Fischer, who also argued that Obama "displays ignorance" in his embrace of same-sex marriage and other LGBT rights and "doesn't know what he's talking about," stated in that rant. "Nobody's born that way!"
