Banana Republic is teaming up with Issa London, one of the duchess' favorite brands, for a collaboration. Women's Wear Daily reports that Issa London has created a 40-piece collection called Banana Republic Issa London (creative, right?) to launch this August in Banana Republic stores across the globe.
As the Telegraph points out, the new line will make Issa's sleek styles accessible to a wider audience at a lower price point. A typical Issa dress can run anywhere between $300 to $700, but prices for the Banana Republic collection will top out around $150.
The collab will also make the Duchess of Cambridge's signature style available to us royal wannabes. Kate put Issa on the map when she wore their navy wrap dress at her official engagement photo shoot, prompting customers to rush to the Issa website and drain its supplies. As a result, the sold-out wrap dress became one of the first beneficiaries of the so-called "Kate Middleton Effect." (It also completely overwhelmed the company, nearly paralyzing the small operation.)
Now Issa London is ready to take on shoppers in the big leagues with Banana Republic (another Kate Middleton favorite, by the way) by its side. Are you psyched about the collab? And are you, like us, praying that they somehow use Kate in the ad campaign?
