The Palm Beach home where style icon and designer Lily Pulitzer recently passed away is on the market for a new price of $8.5 million, according to Realtor.com.

Referred to as "The Jungle," no doubt for his its lush landscaping and distinct tropical charm, the home at 710 S. County Road has been on the market for years at the original price of $11.5 million.

Pulitzer's daughter, Liza, is the agent behind the sale, and the property is being advertised as a teardown. The listing states that a buyer could even build two houses on the 1.3 acreage.

"We would hate to see the house torn down,” Pulitzer's daughter told The Observer, “but the house is not landmarked.”

And it's a damn shame too.

Pulitzer and her husband Enrique Rousseau bought "The Jungle" property in 1980 for $565,000.

The house was built in 1983 and features a main house with four bedrooms, a casita or "guest house" with three bedrooms, and a pool house with two bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a sauna.

She reportedly designed the living spaces around the trees and gardens on the property. "It's just magnificent," Pulitzer told the Wall Street Journal in 2010. "But I'm old and I'm cranky and I can't keep it up the way it should be."

Pulitzer was notorious for throwing poolside parties at "The Jungle" while barefoot.
