Marriage Problems: Why Do We Nag In Relationships? (VIDEO)

Posted: Updated:

In a HuffPost Divorce blog post earlier this month, author Monique Honaman wrote about how detrimental nagging can be in a marriage.

"The cycle of bad communication (and nagging) can go from bad to worse," Honaman wrote. "Though the spouses may not be communicating positively, at least they are communicating in some fashion. Is it when communication stops altogether that things take a turn for the worse, from salvageable to beyond repair, from marriage to divorce?"

On Thursday, Honamans sat down with HuffPost Live host Abby Huntsman and discussed what motivates people in relationships to nag one another. Watch the clip above to hear what she had to say, then click through the slideshow below for marriage lessons our readers learned after divorce.
