Finally, a beauty line we can get excited about: Michael Kors is set to release a full range of fragrances, lotions and color cosmetics, reports Women's Wear Daily.
We know, we know, it seems like every designer has already dipped his or her toes in the lucrative beauty industry, hoping to snag a piece of the makeup pie. There have been some standouts, though -- we don't know what we'd do without Tom Ford's red lipstick or Burberry's pressed powder.
Kors' collection, which will be sold exclusively at Macy's, will be divided into three different categories: Sporty, Sexy and Glam. The three "emotions" will each have their own fragrance and two different colors of lipstick, lip gloss and nail polish.
Although Kors cites his grandmother and mother as influences for the three-way theme, we think he might have also had our very own Michelle Obama in mind when envisioning the dynamic woman who would wear his beauty products. Mrs. O has been a huge supporter of the brand, wearing Kors' pieces for last year's Kennedy Center Honors and in her latest Vogue spread.
"I thought about someone that was really full of confidence -- if her skirt unwrapped when she sat? Not a problem," Kors said.
Yup, that sounds like our FLOTUS. Aside from color cosmetics and fragrances, Kors will release lotion, bath products and sun basics. Check out the Mario Testino-lensed ad below and tell us: Will you be buying Michael Kors' beauty line?
Think FLOTUS will be a fan?
